Obituary:

John "J. B." Moore, Jr., 70 of Elkmont, Alabama died on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at Ardmore Care & Rehabilitation Center in Ardmore, Tennessee.  Born Thursday, June 24, 1943 in Elkmont, Alabama, he was the son of the late John Bent Moore, Sr. and the late Nona Hodges Moore. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and enjoyed bird hunting, working, and camping He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Walter Moore, and sisters: Sandra Gail Smith and Ruby Jo Martin.

Surviving are his wife: Carolyn A Moore of Elkmont, AL, daughter, Marquetta (David) Diamona of Spring Hill, TN, sister, Barbara Gates of Ardmore, AL, one gradnson Jacob Lee Bailey and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 9, 2014, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Doug Colwell and Jerry Neil officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
