Mr. Brooks was born July 15, 1930 in Limestone County, AL.
Services will be Wednesday, January 22, 2014, 2PM at Spry Funeral Home, Chapel with Jordan Lovell, David Cox and Donnie Rogers officiating, burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12 noon until service on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Spry Funeral Home. Mr. Brooks was a member of Market Street Church of Christ and retired from General Motors.
Survivors: Wife – Hazel Rogers Brooks of Athens, AL; Sons: Franklin Brooks, Jerry Smith, Mike Smith and Joey Smith all of Athens, AL; Brothers: Arnold Brooks of Athens, AL and Jack Brooks of Elkmont, AL; Sister: Annie Pugh of Athens, AL; Eight Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren
