HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — Volleyball Player of the Week from the Tennessee Valley will be chosen by fan voting. Voting will end at 5 p.m. on Thursday with the winner revealed on Friday.
Baylee Young - Elkmont : Blasted 68 kills in three matches last week, adding 13 aces, nine blocks and 16 digs. The sophomore outside hitter was superb against Athens Bible with 30 kills, 12 digs and four blocks.
Audrey Cagle , Buckhorn : Helped the Bucks to a 2-2 record at Hazel Green’s Glenda Wright Invitational. Cagle contributed 44 assists and 35 kills in four matches, including 16 assists and 13 kills against New Hope.
Candice Davidson , West Morgan : The Rebels finished 7-1 on the week with Davidson setting up the hitters with 186 assists. Senior Davidson provided 35 assists during a three-set win over Deshler.
Lauren Milar , Madison Academy : Led the Mustangs to a 12-0 record last week, including the championship of the Eddie Preuitt Tournament at Hartselle where they won eight straight. The senior setter also picked up career assist No. 1,000 in a Thursday win over Randolph. For the week, Milar provided 136 assists.
