Kenneth Wayne Self, 57 of Elkmont, Alabama died on Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama.
Born Wednesday, November 28, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of England Self and the late Mary Thomas Self. He was the husband of the late Barbara Carter Self. He lived most of his life in this area and loved his grandchildren and family.

Surviving are son, Nathan (Sabrina) Self of Ardmore, AL, daughters, Amanda (Brandon) Rager of Elkmont, AL, Nicolette (Jeff) Payne of Athens, AL and Lindsay (Dustin) Colbert of Elkmont, AL, his father: England Self of Elkmont, AL brothers, Larry Thomas of Ardmore, AL, Glenn Self of Elkmont, AL, David Self of Harvest, AL and Mickey Self of Taft, TN, sisters, Mary Lovell of Elkmont, AL and Teresa Carlisle of Hazel Green, AL, and twelve grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Mike Lovell officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
