James M. Kravec
September 10, 2014
James M. Kravec, 46, of Fulton, New York, passed away on Wednesday, finally going “home” to be with his beloved grandmother who raised him, Helen Kravec-Milazzo. Jamie was born in Syracuse and spent most of his life in the area. He attended Fowler High School and even interned at Z89 radio station for a short time. Once he found out it was unpaid, he left abruptly and that ended his working career forever! Jamie was an avid music fan and movie buff. He could tell you the name of any particular song from 30 years ago and its singer or any actor and which movies they were in. His favorites were Elvis and Michael Jackson. Jamie had a heart of gold. All it took was a smile and a few kind words and you were immediately considered his friend. He loved children and happily shared what little he had with anyone who asked. He never held grudges and he taught us all what pure love can be. Besides his grandmother, Jamie is predeceased by his mother, Wanda Schiavetta.
Surviving are four siblings: Tim (Kim) Reitz, Kristie (Bob) Falasco, Jeffrey Schiavetta, & Stephanie Stachnik. Jamie had many special people in his life, most notably two that helped raise him and be his loving guardians at different times in his life: aunt Jan Knapp and uncle Larry Milazzo. Jamie also leaves behind his grandfather, Al Kravec, along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Peggie Walts is one of those cousins and is our Elkmont connection. Please keep her and your family in your prayers.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 3-5pm at New Comer Funeral, N. Syracuse, with services to follow.
