ELKMONT AT THE PEPSI CHALLENGE

The EHS XC team returned to action on Saturday at the Lawrence County/Cold Springs Pepsi Challenge. As always, the meet was well run and well attended with over 440 runners racing to the finish! 

The Lady Red Devils ran hard, with many improving their times from the Elkmont Invitational!  Hannah Hanback was the first Red Devil to finish (23:44) earning top 15 honors with her 6th place finish!  Way to go Hannah!!

The guys also ran a great race, also improving times from the Elkmont Invitational!  Elkmont had 2 receive top 15 honors!  Chance Bailey was 3rd with a time of 18:24 and Chase Prater was 14th with a time of 19:59!  Congrats to Chance and Chase!!

Congratulations to both teams!  The girls team placed 4th out of 6 scored teams and the boys placed 5th out of 11 teams!

The next meet is Saturday, Sept 6 at The Oakville Indian Mounds (Jesse Owens Park).  It's a beautiful course and generally sees well over 1000 competitors!  Come out and see what the excitement is all about and cheer on these Red Devils!!
