...WIND CHILL ADVISORY AND WINTER STORM WATCH NOW IN EFFECT FOR THE CENTRAL TENNESSEE VALLEY...

.A STRONG WINTER STORM SYSTEM WILL IMPACT THE REGION BEGINNING LATE TONIGHT AS A VERY COLD ARCTIC AIRMASS SPREADS INTO THE REGION. PRECIPITATION ASSOCIATED WITH ANOTHER DISTURBANCE FROM THE SOUTHWEST WILL BEGIN AS SNOW EARLY MONDAY MORNING...BEFORE TRANSITIONING TO A
MIX OF RAIN AND FREEZING RAIN BY MONDAY EVENING.


*WIND CHILL ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 9 AM CST SUNDAY

WIND CHILL VALUES...WIND CHILLS WILL FALL BETWEEN ZERO AND 10 BELOW ZERO

*WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH LATE MONDAY NIGHT...  SNOW ACCUMULATIONS IN THE 2.5 TO 4 INCH  RANGE

* OTHER HAZARDS...ACCUMULATIONS OF SLEET AND LIGHT FREEZING RAIN ARE EXPECTED IN ADDITION TO THE SNOW. FREEZING RAIN ACCUMULATIONS WILL GENERALLY BE BETWEEN 0.1 AND 0.3 INCHES

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT VERY COLD AIR AND STRONG WINDS WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE LOW WIND CHILLS. THIS WILL RESULT IN FROST BITEAND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN.
