The Varsity Red Devils travelled to East Limestone on Friday, falling 4-1 to the Indians. Ben Besherse scored for Elkmont while James Hernandez and Van Hamlin tag-teamed as goalie.
Tanner barely escaped Boss Hill Stadium with a win on Tuesday night, squeaking by the Red Devils 2-1 in a hotly contested matchup. Juan Mendoza found the net for Elkmont, and Tee Boyd was masterful in the goalie position. Earlier in the evening, the Varsity girls defeated Tanner 2-1.
The Varsity boys’ next game is at Boss Hill Stadium on Thursday at 5:45 PM against Athens Bible School. The JV Boys play West Limestone on Saturday while the Varsity team is scheduled to play three games in the River City Shootout at the Jack Allen Soccer Complex in Decatur on Friday and Saturday.
