ELKMONT'S MONTANA CROWE REACHES FINALS

The Hurricanes played a travel tournament in Cullman this past weekend. USSSA moved the team up to B class... played 2 pool play games; the first was the Red Storm and started slow.. lost 4-0...The Hurricanes played the Huntsville Sparks the 2nd game and was winning 2-1 in the last inning and let them come back with a 3-2 win. When the tournament started, we were seeded pretty low and had to play the higher seed. We played Blount County Royal Predators and came out with a 7-1 win...We went on to play the Red Storm again and came out with a 5-4 win that win sent us to the championship game. We played Explosion in the finals and lost but played awesome all day. Super proud of these girls with this being their 2nd tournament being moved to B class and coming home with 2nd place! Montana Crowe pitched 4 out of the 5 games and did AWESOME...She had some really great hits with only one strikeout the whole tournament. Way to go HURRICANES!
