Jeff and Ginger Brooks of Elkmont announce the engagement of their daughter, Britney McCall Brooks, to Clinton Dane Hovis, son of Aaron and Grapy Hovis of Harvest and Steve E. and Debra K. Rhoda Frakes of Huntsville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Frances Wales of Elkmont and the late Marvin E. Wales and Billy and Lilly Brooks.
She is a 2003 graduate of Ardmore High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Alabama, where she received a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in psychology.
She is employed by the Missile Defense Agency.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Jerry and Bonnie Smith and Carl Rhoda.
He is a graduate of East Limestone High School and the University of Alabama in Huntsville, where he received a bachelor’s degree in communications.
He is employed by Alfa Insurance as an agent.
The wedding is planned for Saturday, Sept. 29, at Burritt Mansion in Huntsville.
