Reba Mae Pylant Reyer, 80 of Ardmore, Alabama died on Saturday, September 15, 2012, at Huntsville Hospital.

Born Monday, April 4, 1932 in Ardmore, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Eldie Pylant and the late Katie Barnes Pylant. She was a lifelong resident of the Ardmore area and was a member of Sweet Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother: Eldie Pylant, Jr., and a grandson: Jeremy Eckstein.

Surviving are her husband: Leon Reyer of Ardmore, AL; daughters: Janice Eckstein of Elkmont, AL and Patricia (Johnny) Hatchett of Ardmore, AL; brothers: David (Shirley) Pylant of Ardmore, AL and Jerry Wayne (Polly) Pylant of Ardmore, AL; sister: Shirley (Junior) Nash of Ardmore, AL; grandchildren: Mike Eckstein of Elkmont, AL, Jason Eckstein of Toney, Al, Joey (Sara) Hatchett of Athens, AL, Clint (Candace) Hatchett of Athens, AL, and Jacob Hatchett of Ardmore, AL; and one great-grandson: Grayson Hatchett of Athens, AL.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Steve Hargrove officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL. Pallbearers will be Billy Shannon, Don Strange, Mike Eckstein, Joey Hatchett, Clint Hatchett, and Jacob Hatchett.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, September 17, 2012, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
