Elkmont rushed for 239 yards, but still dropped a Class 3A Region 8 game at Westminster Christian Friday. The Wildcats jumped out to a 19-0 halftime lead and never looked back in a 40-14 win. Elkmont was led by Dustin Ward, who carried the ball 11 times for 125 yards. Elkmont quarterback Bryant Wales scored the Red Devils’ other touchdown on a 10-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Elkmont (0-3, 0-2) will host West Morgan next week.
