The 2016 Special Olympic kick off run is over for this year. A group of
great runners ran to combine for 82 miles in two days to all the Limestone County High Schools.
Started from East Limestone
Ran to Ardmore
Ran to Elkmont and its getting dark.
On to West Limestone and now it is really dark.
Can't forget Clements; is it really 3:30 in the morning?
Just keep runnin', runnin', runnin' to Tanner
Making a beeline to Tanner. The sun is starting to come up over the horizon.
Mark another SOAR race in the books; finished up in Athens @ 8:15.
Gretta Harris Armstrong, Cindy Witt, Bradley Wales, Jennie Barnett, Brenda Hunter Morrow, Regina Clem, Stacey Sebek Glover, Michael L. Brand, Kim McNatt Shores, Cathie Turner Morris, Tanjie Nash Schrimsher, Anne Gresham Burrows and Gary Van Wagnen

Thank you all who ran, prepared food, donated vans and money and to the athletes we all did it for! I have also been very blessed to be a
part of the BEST running community around. North Alabama has great
runners who are not only physically talented but also have giving souls
that shine every day. They have selflessly put in the miles to raise
awareness for these special athletes and raised and donated many dollars
to help transport them to State competition. What other friends would
stay up all night running and listening to my stories! I love each and
every one of them. Thank you all so much. These athletes deserve all of the praise for getting out and
trying their best in these games. Proud of all of them!
