Lila Ruth Shields, 84 of Elkmont, Alabama died on Monday, March 28, 2016, at her home.
Born Sunday, May 3, 1931 in Athens, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Daris Clem and the late Ruby Brock Clem. She was a native of the Elkmont area and lived in Toledo, Ohio until the last 15 years. She enjoyed wordfind and crossword puzzles, and reading, but most of all she enjoyed, spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: John Shields, a brother: Harold David Clem and a sister: Mary Ann Beeler.
Surviving are daughter, Judi Whiteman of Elkmont, AL, brother, Johnnie (Debbie) Shields of Blissfield, MI, grandchildren: Nick, Kelly, Matt, and Mandy, and nine great-grandchildren.
There are no funeral services planned at this time, Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family.
