BOBBY JACKSON BUTLER - OBITUARY
Mr. Bobby Jackson Butler, 81, passed away on April 10, 2016, at his residence. He retired from Ford Motor Company and Saginaw. He was a member of Chisholm Hills Church of Christ and a veteran of the United States Army. He was affiliated with Underwood Dixie Youth for 20 years where he served as a board member along with coaching baseball and softball. He was a loving husband and father who always put others first. He will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Greenview Funeral Home from noon-2 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Charles Abernathy officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Zenas Jim Butler and Mattie Crews Butler, and his brother, Billy Crews Butler.
Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Della Stanfield Butler; sons, Robert Douglas Butler (Lisa), of Madison, Alabama, Michael Aubrey Butler, of Killen, Alabama, and James Scott Butler, of Florence, Alabama; daughter, Trudy Butler-Turney (Steve), of Elkmont, Alabama; sister, Mattie Connie Pope, of Waynesboro, Tennessee; sisters-in-law, Shirley Butler, of Waynesboro, Tennessee, Billie Jo Jones, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, and Mollie Davidson, of Huntsville, Alabama; brothers-in-law, Patrick M. Stanfield, of Waynesboro, Tennessee, and James T. Stanfield, of Bon Aqua, Tennessee; grandchildren, Madison Grace Butler and William Grant Haire; and several nieces and nephews.
Randy Butler, Alfred Kelley, Ricky Davidson, Preston Castell, Troy Wylie, and Paul Haralson will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Southern Care Hospice, especially Jamie, Stephanie, and Felicia, and the fifth floor ECM nurses and Dr. Ricky Irons for the outstanding care and services they provided.
