THE SOUND OF MUSIC ON THE HILL TOP

Violins were singing from the Elkmont New Gym on April 1 as our third graders shared their new found talents with us. 

Jennifer Lukens from the Symphony School of the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra has been teaching the third grade classes their first lessons in playing the violin. She used a modified Suzuki curriculum and it was very successful.

Elkmont has a long history of musicians and you could hear some of those musical abilities that were passed down to our children.
