Mr. George Stanley Scott, age 69, of Elkmont passed away Tuesday, April 29th at Huntsville Hospital. Mr. Scott was born in Limestone County to William Arthur Scott and Mamie Leora Daly.
Services will be Saturday May 2nd at 11:00AM at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Channing, Hinkle and Brent Hawkins officiating. Visitation will be Friday May 1st from 6:00-9:00PM. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Scott was a member of Beulah Church of Christ.
Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Mamie Scott, two brothers Jerry and Tommy Scott and his sister Selma Boyd.
He is survived by his wife Wanda Scott of Elkmont, one daughter Tammy Clinard (Lynn) of Elkmont . Four grandchildren, Aaron Lovell (Aimee), Kalynn Clinard, Gracen Clinard, and Westin Clinard all of Elkmont. Two great grandsons, Aiden Lovell and James Lovell also of Elkmont. One sister, Sara Moore ( John) of Anderson, AL and one brother Dalton Scott (Mott) of Athens, AL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Don Barksdale, Dan Garner, Clifton Blakely, Max Scott, Tony Scott, and Mark Scott. Honorary pallbearers will be Lynn Clinard, Aaron Lovell, Westin Clinard, Marty Posey, Johnny Posey, Jay Pitman, Ryan Posey, Bobby Ray Bullington and Franklin Johnson.
