THE QUEEN'S REIGN ENDS

Elkmont's Kalyn Clinard was crowned the "2014 Limestone Sheriff's Rodeo Queen" last May.  She has had a whirlwind year as she represented Limestone County and Elkmont at numerous events. In the Miss Rodeo USA Pageant, she was selected as the "People's Choice."

In Athens Now's rodeo coverage, her dedication and smile that has brightened up many a person's day was recognized .

"The Queens from all the age groups really became a group of ambassadors for our area. We couldn't be more proud of our current Queen, Kalynn Clinard.  She has worked at nursing homes, Fiddlers' Convention, all kinds of places. Her attitude to serve our area has showed true dedication to the promotion of the rodeo and the pageant."

One of her many gifts is being able to connect with children that always brings smiles. The special needs rodeos are especially dear to her heart.  She enjoys being able to make the children happy by just doing what she loves.  Kalynn says, "seeing the
smiles on their faces and knowing you were able to help put it there is a felling like on other. I plan to always be involved with the special needs rodeos regardless of being involved in pageants."

She has a moral compass that hangs from simple framework.
"I do have rules that I try to live by and that's the Bible and Being a Christian example in general. I've been raised in a Southern Baptist home and have had a very strong religious upbringing.  I think it's very important to stand for what you love and believe in."

Making friends wherever she goes :)

It's Friday, Kalynn's reign as Miss Limestone Sheriff's Rodeo comes to an end tomorrow night.  Join her as she takes her final turn in the arena.
