BENNIE GENE MCFALL - OBITUARY

Mr. Bennie Gene McFall, age 83, of Cedartown, GA passed away on Saturday morning, May 16, 2015. He was born on October 1, 1931 in Talladega, Alabama and was a son of the late, Julius & Cassie McFall. 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ruth McFall; his brothers, James McFall, J.C. McFall and Ray McFall; and a sister, Catherine Lyle. He was raised in Cedartown & loved his community. He was a trusted friend to so many & was of the Christian faith. Mr. McFall was a proud veteran. After graduating from high school Bennie joined the United States Navy in 1951, serving as a Naval Petty Officer. He met the love of his life & married his wife, Patricia Ruth Jennings, of Newnan, Georgia in Oakland, California in 1954. Bennie was a long time employee of the Rome Plow Company of Cedartown, where he served as a Welding Inspector. He loved his family, he loved God, he loved his country & his service to his fellow man.

Bennie passed away on Saturday, in Elkmont, Alabama, with his loving family at his bed side, in his daughters home. He is survived by his loving daughter & her husband, Jan McDowell and Dr. Timothy McDowell; his grandchildren, Bryan McElwee, Mathew McElwee & Alicia, Whitney McDowell & Dax, Britany Hancock & Bob and Jordan McDowell; his sister, Mildred Parrish; nine great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews & other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Bennie Gene McFall will be conducted on Wednesday afternoon, May 20, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. from the Chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Parrish and Dr. Timothy McDowell officiating. Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens with the Rev. Reginald Campbell directing committal services. Full military honors will be conducted at graveside by the Brewster-Cleveland Post 86 Honor Guard of Cedartown. The family will receive friends on Wednesday afternoon, May 20, 2015 from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Litesey Funeral Home.

The following Gentlemen are asked to serve as Pallbearers: Austin McElwee, Andrew McElwee, Caleb McElwee, Hayden McElwee, Bob Hancock & Rodney McFall. A.J. McElwee will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.
